As I walked into the Bookshop at The Photographer's Gallery
I eyed this sign and couldn't help but be drawn to it.
A shelf devoted to people who have published their own work.
I just love clever people who take an idea and run with it.
"Self Publish, Be Happy is an organisation founded by Bruno Ceschel in 2010 with the aim of celebrating and promoting self-published photobooks through events (such as fairs, exhibitions and conferences), publications and online exposure. Self Publish, Be Happy also organises workshops that help artists and photographers make and publish their own books."
The books on display were all shapes and sizes.
Some were quite unique,
some I liked,
some were not for me.
I applaud their efforts,
the concept is a fun one.
If it intrigues you, there is more.
