Zen Haiku

I came across this book a few years ago
and wrote several in my journal for inspiration.
A few to share....

"The web rising free
from the rim of the lantern,
dances with my breath!"

"Wind gives way to calm,
and the stream smoothes, revealing
it's treasure of leaves...."

"Over this smooth beach
between each wash of the moon,
our vanishing prints"

"A leaf in mid-air,
the way it spins to a stand...
Then begins again"

"That old empty house,
now overgrown with years,
it is the only real one here"

It has been like visiting an old friend...I forgot how settling these can be.
